Show iroram REVIEW LETTERS TO THE EDITOR W&f lH&'KL- - revi euj F.O.P. serves officers, community The Davis County Fraternal lan Order of Police is a bor organization. Our goal is to improve employment for law enforcement officers and staff support and to- improve community relations with local law enforcement agencies. In the last six months the F.O.P. lodge conducted a phone solicitation campaign in which the county citizens responded well. YVe were able to provide 325 children in the county with bike safety helmets and published a safety, drug and alcohof awareness booklet. The booklets are available through elementary schools and the local police departments. Often times the voices of the front-lin- e officers are not heard by the community. Police chiefs non-unio- - represent their officers to their city councils and the county commissioners by the Sheriff, yet still officers are not the front-lin- e heard directly. Many local administrators remain close to their front-lin- e officers and represent them well, others do not and follow their own personal or political agendas. open an invitation to all YVe city councils and the county com- to the officers through the F.O.P.
