Sunset City Councilman , Banker Leaves Position SUNSET Bruce Watkins, Sunset city councilman and former Davis County School Board member, has resigned after 16 years from the Clearfield State Bank to take a position in Vernal, Utah. He and his wife LaRue are moving to Vernal this week where he will be of a newly organized independent bank. Watkins has also resigned from the Sunset City Council. He was serving the last year of his second four-yea- r term on the council. The bank where he is going, Basin State Bank, has not opened for business yet and Watkins said he will be going there to help with the opening. He will be leaving the area later this week. Watkins was born in Vernal and said he left that area when he entered the banquet held 19.
