Larsens class at Crestview Elementary School in Layton. Students including Carl Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Creed Wheeler of 23 W. Payne Circle, Layton, learned placement of mountain ranges, major cities and rivers while they created their own maps. It took them about six weeks but just dare a student not to find ; Paducah, Kentucky. They stayed with relatives in Sun City, Ariz. A brother of Steve and sister-in-laCordons, Mr. and Mrs. Cleon w Cordon of Ashton, Ida. accompanied the Layton couple on this trip. Mrs. Ruth Adams hosted Ogden Canyon. Those attend- ing were Mrs. Ora Barlow, Mrs. Delma Bushnell, both of Clearfield; Mrs. I ma Harvey of Kaysville; Mrs. Opal Had-fiel- d of Ogden; Mrs. Dorothy Adams and Mrs. Ruth H. Adams, both of Layton. Plans were made for the clubs annual mothers and daughters breakfast to be held May 12 at the Weber State College Sky Room. Mrs. Hadfield is the clubs president. Mrs. Bushnell is Mrs. the secretary-treasure- r. Julia Thornley of Woods Cross is the party chairman. Other club members are Mary Roberts of Layton and Beverly Holbrook of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hazel Morgan Adams lncorr.3 Tea is undergoing treatment at the Davis North Medical Prcpsrciicn Center. Miss Tammy Randall, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Kent Randall, was named Queen of the Layton High School Junior Prom. After a roast beef dinner, the group enjoyed a program presented by the high schools Laytones singing group. Mrs. Ashel Stevenson has returned home after spending two months in Riverside, Calif, staying with her Mr. daughter and and Mrs. Jerry Crowley. While in California, Mrs. Stevenson was able to travel to many of the southern California tourist attractions. Former Layton High School turday with basketball player, Johnny Gilbert,' scored the tour- nament high number of points in the recent National Junior College basketball tournament held in Kansas. Mr. Gilbert, scored 26 points in one game, plays for Dixie Junior College. Mr. and Mrs. John Adams and Mrs. Ruth H. Adams traveled to Salt Lake City last week to visit their aunt, Cecil Harris Bingham who suffered a broken hip two weeks ago. She has been receiving treatment in the LDS Hospital but is now convalescing at a home of a friend, Mrs. Enid Robertshaw. Keith Brimhall, principal of Crestview Elementary School recently attended a national principals convention held in Washington D.C. Mr. and Mrs. Duell Beard moved Thursday from Layton into a home located in Jacksonville, Miss. Several Layton High School basketball players were ball a named to the team. They were Gordon Anderson and Matt Stireman. Honorable mention awards were given to Willy Ferneau all-are- and Dave Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Neil J. Easter Egg Hunt On 14th Kaysville Jaycees are ticipating thousands an- of children in Kaysville to turn out for their big annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 14, according to Richard Bushnell, Jaycee president. CHILDREN be will separated-- into various age groups and turned loose as the whistle blows to find the hidden eggs. Some of the eggs will be tagged and those lucky enough to find the marked eggs during the scramble will be given prizes. This is one of the biggest children's events to date. MR. BUSHNELL said the time and location will be an- nounced later, but he encourages all children in Kaysville to plan to attend this fun and exciting event, np .
