SECOND DISTRICT Judge Thomley K. Swan, who pronounced sentence last week, ruled during the Oct. 8 trial that there was not enough evidence to convict the defendant of attempted homicide. The aggravated assault conviction stems from an alleged attack by Hansen on Kaysville Police Officer Jim Andrews who testified that the man (Hansen) slashed him with a butcher knife during a confrontation in the home of a Layton woman. The officer said he escaped serious injury be- cause he was wearing a protective vest at the time of the alleged attack. f Farmington .............. d , - ....... . N,rff ........ 27,5 . - .......
