Captain and Mrs. Russell Ence of Goldsboro, North Carolina are happy over the arrival of a son, Andre J. bom to them on August 31. Mrs. Ence was the former Susan Duckworth of Fruit Heights. They have four other children, Matthew, Heather, Jennifer and Audrey. Grandparents making the news known are Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Ence and Mr. and Mrs. James Duckworth all of Fruit Heights. Welcoming their first child, a son, are Mr. and Mrs. Ken-de- ll Ray Phillips of Ogden formerly of Kaysville. The 6 lbs. 11 oz. lad arrived on Sept. 19 at the McKay-De-e Hospital and will be named Joshua Daniel. The new mother is the former Perrie Ann Hodson of Marriott, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Phillips, Kaysville, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hodson of Marriott, are the grandparents. From Rexburg, Ida. comes word of the arrival of a son bom to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Silvester on Oct. 8. The mother is the former Kristine Swasey of Kaysville. This is the couples first child and he will be named Jeffrey Sherman. He weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. Preceptor lota Chapter To Meet October 18th The September meeting of Preceptor Iota Chapter of Campbell will give the review Tristan and of the opera Be- ta Sigma Phi was held Sept. 27 at the home of Mrs. Ila Nalder in East Layton. PAUL WOULD PERSONALLY LIKE TO INVITE YOU OUT TO Part of being a Boy Scout is doing a good turn daily and two scouts doing their part for the Kaysville Library are Mike Gardner, left, wielding the scissors and Brian Edwards, pounding away at the typewriter. OLSEN TO LOOK - KAYSVILLE Two boy scouts, Michael Gardner, age 11, and Brian Edwards, age 13, are working as volunteers in the Kaysville City Library. They are both in Kaysville Boy Scout Troop 408. They arranged with the librarian to work in the library earning hours in a service project for rank advancement. Brian is working for his Star Rank and Mike is working on his merit badge. RIGHT NOW, Brian and Mike are working in the Childrens Books section. They look through the books on the shelves and pull off any book that needs a new label. Brian types the correct letters on the label, and then Mike puts special plastic tape on the label to make sure it stays on. They put the books back' on the shelves in the correct place when they have fixed them. When the two scouts finish their six service project THEY MAKE a terrific team! reports the librarian. They are very quick to catch on to instructions and they work hard like good scouts. We show them what to do, hours, they will receive a certificate from the Kaysville City Library indicating their valuable service time to the community. - then leave them to it, and when we check their work it is done just right. I hope when they finish their six hours of service project time they will keep right on helping us. They are the best workers anybody' could have! Mike and Brian have both stated they like this are not the only ones to do the library a BOY SCOUTS good deed lately.
