THE PROGRAM was started about 18 months ago to the help disadvantaged residents of the county-tho- se caught in a temporary financial bind. The program is administ- ered through the CAPS cen- tral office in Farmington and is directed by Linda Bowns. SHE SAID fresh and canned foods are available to individuals or families in which the head of the house loses a job or is disabled for a short period. We can tide this family over until a new job is found or the family is accepted on welfare, said Mrs. Bowns. SHE SAID money donated to the food program is placed in an emergency food fund which is used to buy meat, dairy products and produce as needed. No cash is distributed for purchase of food. Mrs. Bowns said every attempt is made to stock nutritional foods and to provide balanced and nutritious foods KEEPING THE RECORDS required, most patients can probably feel grateful that meticulous records are kept of their stay. He sees medical records as providing a vital role to any hospital. Medical records is really the hospital hub. From it a chronological record of a persons stay in the hospital if he is an inpatient is kept or if an outpatient, just details of his visit are kept. "Its important to the patient and the doctor because a patient never knows when he might be coming back in, Mr. Durr says. And when a patient moves, the new doctor wants to know what has been done before and with a good medical record the doctor can treat the patient like hes always treated him. Shields said city engineers estimate all the citys 2,100 acre feet of water will be used up by the end of October. We will need another 300 feet from Weber Basin but they want the city to sign a contract for the exact amount. The city obtains water from two of its own wells and Weber Basin and has been considering drilling a third well. About $15,000 extra would be needed for Weber Basin at $52 an acre foot, the mayor said. THOUGH everyone on the council agreed the water is needed, not everyone felt an agreement should be signed with Weber Basin. You buy the 300 feet (extra) now and you pay for it forever, Mayor Shields said. Councilmen Lynn Wood and Robert Austad urged drilling : the third well but after Mayor -Shields questioned if water woulcl be obtained in time, Mr. Wood said, before con-- : sidering other alternatives Id rather see us borrow on next years allotment."
