Members will assemble in the cafeteria area at 5 p.m. in a get together. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Reservations are necessary to insure dinner. COMMITTEE members working on the event are Stuart Jardine, Frank and FREEDOM WEEK KAYSV1LLE Students at Kaysville Jr. High School are involved in a week designated by the student council as Freedom Week. bake sale and the student council is selling items in an effort to raise money. MANY departments in the school are working together to highlight this appreciation of American freedoms. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. and the cost is $2.50 for adults and $2 for students and children. The play is directed by Ronald Peterson. STUDENTS WITH lead parts include Bart Vander-Doe- s and Paul, the puppeteer; Tammy Randall as Lili; Terry Long as Marco the Magnificent; Roshelle Fehras Rosalie; Bob Bedore as Jacquot and Overmoe as B.F. Schelgal. Carnival is the story of a young French girl, Lili, who has lost her parents but is optimistic about life. She tries to find employment in a local traveling carnival but the carnival's major act, Marco, the Magnificent, has a wandering eye. Marco often turns from his partner, Rosalie, and befriends Lili but not with the best intentions. PAUL, THE puppeteer, notices Lilis naivety and attempts to shield her from Marco. Paul has his own problems, however, as he was once a famous dancer but had his leg shattered in the war. This has made him bitter. Lili helps Paul find himself and they eventually bring out the best in each other. Some of the beautiful songs in this musical include Love Makes The World Go Round, "Maria, and "Shes My Love. Magic and puppetry are part of the show. THE MUSICAL director and choreographer for the show is Mary Ellen Bailey. The plays student director is Collett Brundage.
