Roueche officiated at the services. HORACE J. STEED Funeral services were held Tuesday at noon at Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary Chapel for Horace J. Steed, 87, of 169 East Crestwood Road, who died June 14. 1979 at the home of a daughter in Ogden. MR. STEED was bom Oct. in Farmington, Utah, a son of Thomas Joseph and Susannah Steed. He was 12, 1891 married to Mary Edna WebDec. 16, 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died ster Aug. 29, 1976. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 20 years before retiring. Lived in Far- mington, Clearfield Kaysville most of his life. and GRADUATED from Davis High School. Attended USAC Family prayer was by Jay W. Whittier; prelude and postlude music, Brent Johnston; duet by Cleone and Johnston, Always; invocation, John Elliott Webster; remarks, Pres. Ned B. Roueche. Rulon D. Glen Stuart dedicated the grave. PALLBEARERS were Paul B. Henry Jr., Paul B. Henry, Dee Webster, Don F. Steed, H. Bruce Linger and Jay A. Whittier. The Kaysville Sixth Ward Relief Society cared for the flowers, np Willey Call. On Sept. 7, 1922, he married Lena Marie Lawrence in Ogden. The marriage was later solem- nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. MR. CALL had been a distributor for the American Oil Company before retiring. He had formerly lived in Kaysville and Ogden and had been a resident of Layton for 46 years. He attended school in Syracuse, was a high priest in the Layton First LDS Ward, worked in scouting and was a charter member and past president of the Layton Kiwanis Club. Surviving are his widow of Layton; three sons and one daughter, Jedd L. Call and Lane F. Call of Layton; E. Allen Call, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Jeanne C. Hickenlooper, Layton; 14 grandchildren and three ALSO SURVIVING are one brother and three sisters, Eden. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 1979, at the Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary with Bishop Reynolds Knowlton of the Layton First Ward officiating. THE FAMILY prayer was given by Ben Call; prelude and postlude music was furnished by Bishop Lee H. Johnson; Charlene Call sang accom-paine- HE WAS born Oct. 13, 1950 in Provo, a son of B. Lynn and Reva DeFriez Brunson. He was married on May 29, 1974 to Gwen Watkins in the Ogden LDS Temple. He had been a sales area coordinator for the Slim Gym Company of Salt Lake City. HE LIVED most of his life in Salt Lake City and Davis County. He lived in Kaysville prior to moving to Clearfield. Graduated from Davis High School. Was a member of the Clearfield Sixth LDS Ward where he had been a Sunday School president, Sunday School teacher and served an d by Torma Henderson. The invocation was spoken by Raymond Vidinhar. , Remarks by Leo Glen A. Robinson and Max L. Call. Rick L. Call gave a musical selection of The Lords Prayer. The benediction was given by Robert E. Kammeyer. PALLBEARERS were Roy D. Call, Rick L. Call, A. Richard Burbank, Larry Thomas, Robert A. Call and Rex L. Fuller. Lane F. Call dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden. Dilworth Lynn Brunson Rites Dilworth Lynn Brunson, 28 of 1250 West 450 North, Clearfield, died June 7, 1979. extended illness. BORN AUGUST 11, 1923 in Layton, son of George and Crilla Flint Scoffield. Lived in Tremonton and Kaysville, attended one year at Bear River High School, graduated from Davis High School, was a member of the LDS Church and served in World War 11 in the U.S. Army. He was a carpenter by trade. Survivors are his mother of Kaysville; brothers and sisters, Seymour Scoffield, Layton; Chester Scoffield, Townsend, Mont.; Don Scof received nation-wid- e publicity for his actions in Ashau, during the battle of the Ashau Valley in March, GUEST SPEAKER for this special service will be Colonel Congressional Bernard Fisher, noted war hero. During his service career, the Colonel earned the Congressional Medal of Honor, Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal (with 8 Oak Leaf Clusters), Combat Readiness Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, American Defense Service Medal, world war II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal. 1966. On Jan. 19, 1967, Colonel Fisher was presented the Medal of Honor by President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson at official ceremonies held at the White House. HE WAS presented the Medal of Honor for personal actions above and beyond the call of duty by risking his own life to save a fellow pilot who was shot down at Ashau Air Base during the battle of the Ashau Valley in March 1966. Then Major Fisher landed his AIE Skyraider under heavy ground fire and rescued the downed pilot. He is married to the former Realla J. Johnson and parents of six sons. He is a member of the High Council in the Nampa, Idaho South LDS Stake. fisher COLONEL is presently flying with Mountain West Airlines. In addition to Colonel Fisher, the music will be furnished by the Community Choir and Orchestra, with the "Younguns youth singers from ages under the direction of Vickie Jessen will furnish special numbers. The Kaysvile Jaycees will honor the Key Man of the 6-- Elder Steven A. Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Parker L. Ward of 1586 North Highway 89, Kaysville, has been called to the California, San Diego Year, np Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon and the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Silver Star and Bronze Palm and the Meritorious Service Award (with one oak leaf cluster). Colonel Fisher was born in San Bernardino, Calif. After his birth the family moved to Clearfield where he attended Clearfield Elementary School and North Davis Junior High. He later attended Davis High Mission. ELDER WARD will speak in the Kaysville 20th LDS' Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday, June 24, at 4 p.m. in the Kaysville Tabernacle at 198 W. Center Street. He will enter the Mission Training Center in Provo on July 5. Steven is a graduate of Davis High School and Kaysville LDS Seminary, and active in the school choir and on the wrestling team at Davis. HE HAS earned his Eagle. Scout award and also his Duty to God" award. As a member of the AYSC he toured Europe last summer with the Northern Utah Honor Band. ELDER WARD has held Sister Called & Brother Returns From Mission weeks ago but was joined by his brother-in-laand sister, Mr. and Mrs. Curt Toyer of Boise, Ida. to do some sightseeing and traveling. Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Barton, Layton, has returned home from serving the past two years in the Montevideo Uruguay Mission field. FUNERAL services were held Monday, June 11, 1979 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary Chapel, np field, Three Forks, Mont.; Richard Scoffield, Las Vegas, Nev.; Roland Scoffield, Bear River City; Mrs. Ada Dewey, Ogden; Mrs. Vern (Bernice) Oyler, East Garland; Mrs. Richard (Bessie) Calderwood and Mrs. Lucille Robbins both of Tremonton. FUNERAL SERVICES were held Tuesday June 12 at 11 a.m. in the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary Chapel. The family prayer was given by Grant Flint; prelude and postlude music by Sherrill Roueche; Bishop Max P. Brough officiated. Musical selection was given by Diane Brian "Abide With Me accompanied by Sherrill DARLENE BAGLEY AFTER receiving his commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) he entered primary flying school as a student at Marana, Ariz. Jan. 10, 1952. He later went through Basic r.lMSE THESE Flying School at Williams AFB, Ariz.; Instrument School at Moody AFB, Ga.; and ,Day Fighter School, in the 0 Shooting Star, at Tyndall AFB, Fla. His first operational assignment was with the 42nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron (later resignated the 63rd FIS), OHara Field, Chicago, 111., flying Sabrejets. FULL- - SHZED 1978 CAPRICE SEDAN DAVID K.BAGLEY D IN DEC. 1955, he was assigned to Chitose Air Base, Japan, where he flew with the 339th FIS. After completion of Interceptor Controller School in 1958, he was assigned to the 801st Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron, Malstrom AFB, Mont., as a weapon controller and in Feb. 1961 was reassigned to the 29th FIS where he flew Voodoos. In May 1963, Colonal Fisher was assigned to the 319th FIS, Homestead AFB, Fla., where he flew the Starfighter. F-1- It was during this assignment that he volunteered for duty in Vietnam to fly the AIE Skyraider. He arrived in Vietnam in July 1965, and in August 1966 arrived at Hahn, AFB, Germany. IN JULY 1968, Colonel Fisher was transferred to Bitburg, AFB, Germany and subsequently assumed command of the 525th FIS. In July 1971 he arrived at the 124th Group (ANG) Boise, Ida. Fighter-Intercept- Miss Darlene Bagley, the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Keith Bagley, 214 Angel St., Layton, has received a mission call to serve in the Tallahassee Florida Mission. She will be honored at the regular Sacrament meeting in the Layton Second LDS Ward on Sunday, June 24, at 3:30 p.m. She will depart for the MTC in Provo on June 28. A GRADUATE of Layton School and the High Seminary, she has also graduated from BYU with a degree in home economics. She has held numerous positions of leadership at the LDS Branch at BYU, having been Relief Society president, counselor to three Relief Society presidents, Sunday School teacher and Relief Society teacher. A special guest speaker at this same meeting will be the twin brother to Darlene. ELDER DAVID Bagley will return home the evening before from his mission in the Brussels Belgium Mission.
