M ::;::.;x.; ej : I . & i Mr. and Mrs. John Reed attended the Reed family reunion on Sunday August 5 at Lava Hot Springs, Ida. Descendants from California; Malad, Ida., and Provo were in attendance. A brother of John Reed, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Reed of Huntington Beach, Calif, arrived for the reunion. Vern Woolsey returned home Monday, August 6, from the Davis North Medical Center after undergoing surgery. He is convalescing at home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fudge and their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Loosli of Morgan, spent a few days last weekend at Fontanelle Reservoir in Wyoming on a fishing trip. Miss Mary Ellen Marx, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Marx, flew to Denver, Colo, where she participated in the gymnastic meet for three days. The officers for the year have been Lynette Sanders, president; Suzanne Murdock, vice president; Amy Bates, secretary-- , treasurer; and . various items and foods. They have done demonstrations at club and have prepared extra dishes and meals for their families at home. They have talked about and practiced safety methods in the kitchen. During the last meeting they enjoyed a party at the miniature golf course in Ogden and enjoyed treats afterwards. THE GIRLS are in their and are second year of enrolled in the Foods Preparation II Club. They keep their record books up to date and are looking forward 4-- to entering them and their quick breads in the Davis County Fair. They hope to win blue ribbons and feel that they have learned much this club, np past year in their 4-- Hamblin, song and recreation Kawsvillll leader. THE CLUB is taught by Andersen and Carolyn DeVonya Andersen. During the 12 meetings held this year the girls have worked with quick dishes, made and served bananas in orange juice, apple sauce, marsh-ma- l low cnsgies, French toast, griTleffcKeese sandwiches and deviled eggs, as well as other: appetizing dishes. They have Jeen preparing items for the county fair. . They have been to the Mr. and Mrs. Wayne K. Sheffield had as houseguests her two sisters, Mrs. Ruth P. Miller from Buena Park, Calif, and Mrs. Beth P. Beutler from Elk Grove,' Calif. Mrs. Helen Sheffield and her guests spent a week on the Utah State University campus in Logan as guests of the Aggie Family Week where they attended seminars and special events during the week. Mrs.' Miller and Mrs. Beutler were former Kays-vill- e residents and will be remembered by many of the residents in the community. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Liston returned home Monday from Bishop, Calif.1 where they drove to attend the family reunion of his family, the Rossi family, which was held Mr. and Mrs. William H. Umpleby were her niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Norris and four children of Idaho Falls, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Stuart and daughter Stacie of Scranhave Pa. been ton, houseguests of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Nate Stuart. Mr. and Mrs. John Reed attended the Lehmann family reunion at Jordan Park on Saturday, July 18. Sixty-si- x descendants of her family Pan-guitc- over the weekend with his daughter visited and her family, Mr. and Mrs, Don Adams. After a short visit they flew on to Atlanta, Ga. where Mr. Hess attended a business convention. President and Mrs. Eldean Holliday were in Phoenix at the same time Mr. and Mrs. Hess was there to visit their grandchild too, the new born infant of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hess. Mrs. Ann Buchanan returned home from Pomona, Calif, where she visited a week with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Mecham. The Kaysville Ninth Ward held their annual fathers and sons outing at Farmington Canyon on Friday and Saturday with 49 attending. Mrs. Rosetta Swanger was hostess to the members of the DeLite Club at the Valley View Clubhouse in Layton on Wednesday afternoon for their regular club meeting. h Stanley D. Tebbs of her Tossnie Jones, at Sunset on Sunday, August 5. Tossnie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Lewis Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lever are the grandparents. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jay L. Webster are their daughter, Mrs. Stan Bell and her daughter, Mindy, of Big Piney, Wyo. Ivan Mr. and Mrs. Richardson and family visited in Salt Lake City on Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Eleanora Despain who was seriously ill. Bishop and Mrs. Paul Brown and their children of Sacramento, Calif, have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Niederhauser and their children. They also visited in Layton Clinton with her parents, Mr. Debbie in California after ten days.
