Mc Knight and the American Surety Co. was brought to a close Thursday afternoon. This is a case wherein the plaintiffs wert sueing for damages which they claimed had been done them bv certain search and seizure warrants that had been served during the latter part of the year 1913 and the early part of the year 1914. The affidavits causing the search warrants to Be issued were sworn to by the county attorney, J. H. McKnight. The plaintiffs were seeking to recover damages in the sum of $1,800. The case consumed the greater part of seven days, and ninety per cent of the time and one hundred per cent of the Judges patience was taken by the counsel for the plaintiffs in trying to introduce evidence that wasimeter-ia- l and after trying a half hour to introduce a point of evidence in their characteristic, weak way, the court would rule it out, when this .was done the attorneys' wrtnkled faces would grow red with rage. From start to finish they were grabbing for straws in order to make some little point. The case was too long and drawn out for us to try to give any of the proceedings. After all the evidence of both sides was given the case was submitted to the jury who retired to their room and were out just long enough to take one ballot when they returned with a verdict of 'No Cause for Action." de-tal- DEPOT STREET MONUMENTS EVERY DAY NEPHI, UTAH.
