Named counselors were Clemont Adams, left, and Charles Blackburn, right. A change was also made in the stake primary presidency. Released as laurel advisor was Gaye Baker with Linda Terry, sustained to fill the vacancy. Elder Stapley read a letter from the president of the church expressing appreciation to President Whatcott and his many years of service in a leadership capacity. President Whatcott and President Pre-sident Heywood havs served for 13 years, since the original Cedar Stake was divided and the Cedar West Stake was created. cre-ated. Whatcott who has served as president of the past 13 years and prior to that served as counselor to Elwood J. Corry of the old Cedar Stake for a three year period. Sustained as counselors were Clemont B. Adams, first counselor coun-selor and Charles H. Blackburn as second counselor. Named as the executive secretary was David Norton. Retained as stake clerk was Elmo Orton and Therman Gardner as assistant as-sistant stake clerk. Released from the presidency of the stake were President Whatcott, James Heywood as first counselor and President Crawford as second counselor and John Cannon, executive secretary. Making the presentation to the stake was Delbert L. Stapley, Stap-ley, member of the Council of Twelve of the LDS Church. Several other major changes were made in the stake offices. Released from the high council coun-cil of the stake were Ray M. Baumgartner, Elwyn Halter-man, Halter-man, Clemont Adams, David C. Norton, Reed Hancock and Rulon Woodbury.
