Show Wafer Board Gives Report to Council The newly appointed Cedar City Water Board made several rf commendations before the City Council Thursday with regards financing of a program to increase in-crease the culinary water supply for Cedar City. The proposals were thoroughly discussed, but no definite action was taken pending further investigation. The board proposed that the city immediately borrow on tax anticipation notes the maximum up to $75,000 to be used during the balance of this year on water works improvements. Also that a revenue bond, election be held before the end of the year, and that the tax anticipation notes be paid off from the proceeds of such revenue bonds, if approved. An additional proposal was made that the connection fee on the city water system be increased in-creased as a means of increasing increas-ing the revenue to the city. The recommendation was made that the board proceed as rapid-lv rapid-lv as Dossible in its overall Dlan- ning for additional water for future fu-ture years. The proposals will be considered consid-ered further at the next meeting of the city council, it is understood. |
