Show B. A. C. Broncos Lose To Mesa Mavericks The B. A. C. Bronco football team ran into a flock of bad luck last week end, dropping its game to Mesa college by a score of 19 to 6, after haglng a rough trip enroute to the Colorado city. ' Leaving here Thursday morning by bus, in the hope of making the trip without getting too tired, the Broncos had car trouble and did not reach Price until 4 o'clock Friday Fri-day mwrnln, and were in poor shape to play ball when they reached reach-ed Orand Junction. In addition the game was played in a bitter cold windstorm. However, the Broncos turned in a good performance, but could not cope with the offense the Mavericks Maver-icks produced, and lost the game three touchdowns to one. The lone B. A. C. tally was scored on a long pass from Bob Lunt to Melvln Lowe, end, who took the ball on the Mesa Me-sa ten yard line and went over standing up. The loss left the Broncos with two losses and two wins in the In-tcrmountain In-tcrmountain Junior college race, and put Mesa in the lead with four straight wins! Dixie dropped a game to Snow college by a score of 19 to 7 In the only other league game of the week. Carbon trimmed Boise 13 to 7. and Weber took the measure meas-ure of Oila College 21 to 12, In non-league non-league encounters. |
