Show Would-be business owners course set CEDAR CITY Would you like to own a business? If you are considering stepping into the business world you should know just how to begin and some of the problems that might arise. A workshop to help would-be owners chart a course to success will be today at Southern Utah State College. Sponsored by the SUSC Small Business Development Center and the Small Business Ad-ministration, Ad-ministration, the workshop will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Old Administration Building, room 204. A $5 tee will be charged, and pre-registration is encouraged en-couraged by calling SUSC Conferences and Workshops, 586-7853. "Attending this workshop may be your best 'management' decision," said Victor Isbell, SUSC Small Business Development Center Director. "The workshop is designed to help small business owners avoid the problems that lead to buysiness failure; most of these due to lack of management experience and know-how." Business financing, management techniques, taxes and insurance, planning and organization and marketing and promotion will be covered during the day. Attendance is open to all individuals considering con-sidering a new business or who have been in business for one year or less. |
