Show Former Cedar City Lady Married Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Mae Kopp, daughter of Joseph A. Kopp, former form-er Cedar City garage operator who now resides in Salt Lake City. Miss Kopp exchanged marriage vows with Robert A. Ogla of Ohio in a ceremony performed at the home of her father on Julp 3rd. 1 The marriage tock place after Miss Kopp had returned from Alaska Al-aska where she had been serving as a secretary, and Mr. Ogla had returned re-turned from Europe where he had been In service with the American forces.. The young couple plan to make their home in Ohio. The Pioneer Day celebration in' Cedar City will be in charge of the Prtsthood Quorums of the L D S Wards, according to announcement made by City Councilman Lcrln C. Miles. Detailed arrangements have not , yet been completed, but plans call for a Pioneer Parade, followed by a typical pioneer program In the open air. , The complete program will be an-, an-, nounced In the next issue of the Record. I An attempt was made Saturday ( to burglarize the Selective Service' office in the Armory, although it Is uncertain what the burglar could! hav0 been seeking. The Selective Service store room was entered, but' nothing was bothered, and a win-1 dow in the main office was broken, but it could not be determined ! whether anyone had entered the , office. I ' Ross Hoyt, United States Marine, i who has been in an army hospital for some time, after suffering , wounds in the Pacific war zone, 1st home on a ninety-day furlough and reports that he is feeling fine However, he must report back to the hospital in September. j J Mr. and Mrs. George Leigh and children from Mesa, Arizona, are here visiting wl h friends and relatives. re-latives. Utah, have been visiting in Cedar City with Mrs. Day's father, Prank MsConnell. Mrs. Marilyn Rollo Lee rec. lved a telephone call from her husband Aaron Lee, who is serving with the U. S. Merchant Marines, the call coming from New York, although he I had been serving in the Pacific. He is now engaged in transporting troops from Europe. , 1 Mrs. Lloyd Edwards and small son of Prrscott. Arizona, are visiting In Cedar City with Mrs. Edwards' mother, Mrs. Mary Gower.
