J. . i i V i p, 1 5. .. ... r-t , ,j JORDON KNIGHT Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Satuday, Oct. 18, at 2 p. m. I for Jordan Knight, 15, son of Mr. I and Mrs. Clifford Knight of Cedar City, who was accidentally killed on a M. I. A. hayride Oct. 14 when he fell beneath the wheels of the wagon. The services were held at the First ward church with Bishop Parson U. Webster presiding. Musical program for the services ser-vices included two numbers from a mixed quartet, "In the Upper Garden" and "He Hideth My Soul". The quartet was composed of Myles Walker, Ray Cosslett, Elois McConnell and Zelma Lunt, accompanied by Beth Leigh; a solo, "Smilin' Through" by Howard How-ard Knight, accompanied by Enid Price; "My Prayer" rendered by a violin trio composed of Francis Webster, Irene Goodwin and Richard Webster, accompanied by Evelyn Webster. Organ music was by Gloria Dotson. Invocation was rendered by Grant R. Hunter. Talks were given giv-en by Elmer Cox, representing the Cedar City high school; Clement Cle-ment Adams, Bishop H. P. Dot-son Dot-son and Dale Tingey. A poent "Jordon" written by Uncle Alma was read by Howard Stokes. Benediction was by L. J. Knight, brother of the deceased's father fath-er and the dedicatory prayer was by Bishop Leo Larson. Pall bearers were Ronald Mc-Intyre, Mc-Intyre, Daniel Webster, Kenneth Perkins, Ronald Wood, Bud Rosenberg Ros-enberg and Lawrence Fretwell. Honorary pall bearers, all close friends of Jordan were Claron Mackelprang, Gale Simklns, Joe Barton, Daniel Dix, Fred Smith, Scott Bulloch, A. G. Parry, John Bentley, Beven Corry and Tommy Williams. Members of the Y. W. M. I. A. acted as flower girls. |
