Show Funeral Services Held Monday For Emily J. Biederman Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon In the Cedar City L. D. S. First ward chapel for Mrs. Emily Jones Biederman, 60, who died at the family home last Thurs-1 day following an illness or several montlis' duration. Bishop William B. Adams of the Fifth ward presided pre-sided at the se. vices. Speakers Included Oscar huici. bishop of the Summit Ward, ano Wm. R. Palmer, with sentlmcnu. from the neighbors, composed b Mrs. Etta Leigh, being read by Mrs. Leona Orlmshaw. Musical numbers included two selections by a ladies double trio consisting of Mrs. Annette An-nette Betensen, Mrs, Elva Manning. Mrs. Hazel Granger, Mrs. Miriam Luke, Mrs. Maude Halversen, MU Mamie Gardner and Mrs. Elaln South wick, accompanied by Mrs. Bernclla Jones; a violin golo by Roy Halversen. accompanied by Frank Van Colt; and a vocal solo by Miles Walker, accompanied by Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Crockett and Mrs. Belle Jone on the violin and piano, respectlvel; The opening prayer was offeree by George W. Grtmshaw and benediction bene-diction was pronounced by Bishot H. H. Lunt. The grave was dedicated dedi-cated by F. B. Wood. Mrs. Biederman was a llfe-lona resident of Iron County, having been born at Enoch on December 23, 1882, a daughter of John Lee and Betty Walker Jones, pioneer Iron County settlers and founders of Enoch. Following her marriage to Fred L. Biederman, prominent Cedar City merchant and livestock ojierator. on October 18, 11)09, at Parowan. she moved to Cedar City where she has resided since. An active L D. S. church worker, Mrs. Biederman was an officer and teacher in the Cedar City L. D. S. First Ward Relief Society for many years and active In other church work during her lifetime. She Is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. J. L Fakler of of Cedap City, and Mrs. Roy Snyder of Salt Lake City; a son, A. Grant Biederman of King City, California, and 14 brothers and sisters: Lsaac and James 8. Jones of Si. George, Charles E. Jones of Oak City, Ruber. W. Jones of Milford. Geo-ge W. Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada; Myron S. and Wlllurd W. Jone.s and Mrs. Grace Smith of Enoch, Mrs. Rachel Mathews of Taylorsvllle, Mrs. Idu Davenport of Payson, Samuel B. Jones, Mrs. Jane A. Bryant, Mrs. Violet J. Wood, and Mrs. Blanchi J. Houchen of Cedar City. |
