Show Pamela Gayle Petty and Joseph Franklin White united in St. George Temple rites Tho St. George LDS Temple was the setting for riles which united Miss Pamela Gayle Petty Pet-ty and Joseph Franklin White In marriage December 10. President Thoron Ashcroft officiated of-ficiated at tho double; ring ceremony, cer-emony, The ibride Is tho daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cleo M. Potty 467 So. 150 W., and the bridegroom bride-groom Is the son of Mrs. Rhea P. White, 815 So. Ash, Casper, mooned for eight days in Las Vegas and southern California They are now residing at 2-1114 Gil-more Street, Conoga Park, California, while he teaches at Granada Hills High School in Northrldge, Ho is also the school's golf coach. She will complete her education educa-tion in Physical education and English at San Fernando Valley Val-ley State College. A reception honoring the young couple was held December Dec-ember 29 In the Second Ward Relief Society rooms. The bride wore a white floor length gown of polyester double knit with embroidered white flowers on tho skirt and a sleeveless bodice with a long . sleeved tunic neck blouse. The bodice was accented accent-ed with three Norwegian silver clasps In the front. The shoulder - length veil fell from a real Norwegian wedding wedd-ing tiara. She held a spray of 12 long stemmed red roses matching the red rose bouten-ire bouten-ire worn by the bridegroom. The bride's attendants were dressed in the national costume cost-ume of Norway. They were long sleeveless dresses of navv MR. AND MRS. JOSEPH FRANKLIN WHITE blue, black, or brown and red with colored embroidered flowers on the skirt and bodice. bod-ice. A long sleeved whipped creme blouse and the traditional tradi-tional silver pin on the front of the bodice completed the ensemble. Each carried a single sin-gle white mum. . Mrs. Nancy Barclay (sister of the bride) was matron of honor, and the bridesmaids were Misses Linda Whetten, Kerry Lynn Cameron, and Sue Ahlman and Mrs. J u d i e Fletcher. The flower girls, Misses Len-yce Len-yce Barclay and Stephanie White, wore long red, green and blue flowered dresses with a red vest and carried a single white mum. Mr. Dale White, Pasadena, California, was best man,. and the ushering was done by Neil Petty, Mike Petty, Lance Whetten, Frank White and Chris White. Mrs. Petty and Mrs. White wore ankle length, long -sleeved A-line dresses of burgundy bur-gundy color trimmed at the neck and sleeves with Norwegian Norwe-gian trim. The bride chose a Scandinavian Scandin-avian atmosphere for her reception re-ception because she had served serv-ed a Norwegian mission. The guestbook (gjestebok) was Norwegian as well as the background Christmas music. Grieg's Wedding Day Trold-haugen Trold-haugen was also played. The wedding cake, made by Mrs. Gwen Sherratt was a four tiered tier-ed applesauce, candied diced fruits, pecans, and almonds for a festive effect. Lighted candles on the tables and Scandinavian decorations and refreshments completed the setting. Mrs. Loren Wheten was hostess for the evening while Mrs. J. Eliot Cameron presided presid-ed at the guest book and Mrs. Dale White was at the gift table. Refreshments were served by Misses Debbie Gardner, Pat Sevy, Connie Saman, Jan Brown, Susan White, Julie Jones, and Kathy Jolley. Out of town guests included includ-ed Mr. and Mrs. Eliot Cameron Mrs. Rhea P. White, Mr. and Mrs. Dale White and family. Kerry Lynn Cameron, Mr. and Mrs. Le Roi Barclay and family, fam-ily, Miss Sue Ahlman. In addition to the reception the newlyweds were honored with a wedding breakfast at the Jolly King Restaurant in Ct. George on December 19 and with an Open House In Granada Hills, Calif, given by Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dinneen and Mr. and Mrs. John Feris. A Bridal shower was given by Loren Whetten, Mrs. Jim Yardley, and Mrs. Leo Palmer. The bride chose a long sleeved double-knit dress with a plain high round neck, trimmed trim-med by a red-blue-yellow long fringed scarf for her going away costume. She used red accessories.
