Asay, son of Mr. and Mrs, Ervil Asay, Cedar City, Ci-ty, claimed Joan Damrell as his bride in rites performed in the St. George Temple October 27. President Arthur Barlocker officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Edward L. Damrell, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana. An open house honoring the couple was held in Cedar City that same evening, and they will be further feted by a reception re-ception in Indianapolis on November No-vember 3. The bride greeted the guests in a full-length gown of white organza trimmed with lace. The dress featured an empire waist. The finger-tip veil was 1 x Mwri:;fe (I) 1 W'vl I'll if' "v :'''" fl: trimmed in matching lace and was attached to a crown. She carried white carnations and lillies of the valley. Sisters of the bridegroom attended at-tended the bride. Mrs. Gary Sandberg was matron of honor and the other attendants were Mrs. Alan Davies and Nyla and Sue Asay. Two of the attendants at-tendants wore gold dresses and the other two wore yellow. All of the dresses were floor length with empire waists and long sleeves. The attendants attend-ants carried rust colored mums with lillies of the valley in the MR. AND MRS. RONALD LEE ASAY center. Jim Cox and Bill Humphrey acted as best men while Gary Sandberg, Kent Baldwin, and Allan Davies ushered. The bride's mother wore a two piece dress in light blue and the mother of the bridegroom bride-groom wore a royal blue dress. They both had white carnation corsages. As they left on a honeymoon to Las Vegas, the bride wore a three piece suit. The skirt and coat were a creme color and the blouse was olive green. She used green accessories to compliment her costume. The bride is a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis. A graduate of Cedar High ' |
