RICHARD BATT Popular Parowan Couple Exhange Vows in Temple Ceremony Friday In a double-ring wedding ceremony cer-emony which was solemnized on Friday, Nov. 4 in the St. George Temple, Miss Barbara Jane Bay-les Bay-les became the bride of Richard O. Batt, both popular residents of Parowan. Temple President Harold S. Snbw officiated in the wedding rites In the presence of immediate members of both families. Parents of the bride are Mr.J and Mrs. Golden Bayles and Mrs. Calma Batt Is mother of the bridegroom. Following the wedding the bri- dal party was hosted at a wed-j ding breakfast by Mr. and Mrs. T. Wendell Bayles of St George, an uncle and aunt of the bride. ' A reception honoring the newly new-ly married couple was held on, Saturday evening in the Third Ward recreation halL.To greet her guests the bride wore a full-length full-length gown of Chantllly lace underscored with ruffles of tulle. It had a sabrina neckline with sequins, long tapered sleeves and 'the back of the skirt was of tiers of tulle and ruffles. Her veil was of fingertip length and was caught to a small lace bridal cap adorned with seed pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet composed of a white orchid or-chid surrounded by stephonitis. i Atit-riiiiriK ii"? iiur a inittrGii of honor was her sister, Mrs. J. M. Jerome and maid of honor was Miss Lynda Cowdel. Bridesmaids Brides-maids were Miss Helen Hatch, Miss Aleen Rasmussen, Mrs. Nils Bayles, Mrs. Stuart Adams. Miss Bonnie Batt. and Miss Donna Batt. the latter two are sisters of the bridegroom. The maid and matron of honor wore dark blue sheath dresses. The bridesmaids wore light blue sheaths with dark blue cummerbunds, cummer-bunds, and all carried bouquets of yellow mums. Flower girls were Dcbhic Bayles and Jori and Jeanie Jerome, nieces of the bride, dressed in light blue full dresses with light blue cummerbunds, cummer-bunds, and carried yellow mums in their baskets. The mother of the bride was dressed in blue sheath dress and wore a yellow rose corsage. The mother of the bridegroom's gown was of beige lace and she also wore a yellow rose corsage. Standing as best men for the bridegroom was his brother, Roger Rog-er Batt, and Elwyn Rowley, and ushers were Philip Balyes, and Sidney Orton. The going away outfit of the bride was a brown wool suit trimmed with beige and had matching accessories. Following a brief honeymoon the couple are making a home In Parowan. The bridegroom returned only a week ago from filling a mission mis-sion for the LDS Church In the Central Atlantic States, and has served a four-year tour of duty with the U. S. Air Force.
