ROGER MERRILL ESPLIN Circleville Girl, Cedar City Man Exchange Marriage Vows in St. George Temple Rites Miss Kathryn Marie Crane of Circleville, Utah, and Roger Merrill Mer-rill Esplin were united in marriage mar-riage during a double-ring ceremony cere-mony performed Sept. 6 at the St. George LDS Temple. Officiating Officiat-ing at the early fall ceremony was President Rudger C. Atkin. The former Miss Crane Is the daughter of Mr. and Mre. C. B. Crane. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Esplin of Cedar City. At the home of the bride's parents par-ents in Circleville, the newlyweds greeted guests at a garden reception recep-tion held the evening of their wedding. They were further honored in Cedar City Saturday, Sept. 14 when the bridegroom's parents hosted an open house affair. For the nuptials Kathryn wore a dress of her own creation. The gown was styled to full length and featured a small train, buttons but-tons adorning the sleeves and matching the back buttons of the dress. She wore a veil fashioned from fine net, attached to a circle of lilies. The bridal bouquet was cascading and featured two large white mums with pink rose buds. Dressed n like gowns made from blue and white silk were the bridal attendants, Mrs. John M. Henrle as matron of honor, along, with bridesmaids Marlene Sorbe, Melba Sue Strate, Mar-cene Mar-cene Edwards, Mrs. Bob Moore and Shani R. Thomas. For the occasion oc-casion Candace Crane, a niece of the bride served as a flower girl She wore a blue and white lace dress. The attendants held baskets bas-kets of pink and white flower arrangements designed by Mrs. Betenson, a family friend. Accessories Acces-sories for the attendants Includ ed matching wrist gloves and white shoes. Best man was Richard Nelson. Officiating at the bridal book was Mrs. Gerald Brindley. A light blue linen dress was worn by the bride's mother as she assisted In greeting reception recep-tion guests. Her corsage was a design of pink and white chrysanthemums. chrys-anthemums. The mother of the bridegroom wore a dark blue linen li-nen sheath and a pink and white flower corsage. Assisting at the open house in Cedar City were Mrs. Edith Pryor, Mrs. Reed Esplin, Mrs. Van Esplin, Esp-lin, Mrs. Elton Jones, Miss Linda Lin-da Esplin, Miss Sharon Esplin and Miss Kathryn Pryor. Guest book attendant was Mrs. Ray Cox. The couple honeymooned In Las Vegas and are now making their home In Cedar City. Roger is employed with the Tucker Coal Company. The new Mrs. Esplin graduate-cd graduate-cd from Piute High School, at tended Snow College in Ephraim for nearly two years. At Snow College she was a member of the Drama Club, was secretary one year and drill master her second year as a member of the Gold Key Club. Roger graduated from Cedar City High School, served In the U. S. Air Force for four years after which he attended College of Southern Utah for one year. |
