Show Aurela Jones Becomes July Bride of Leland Paul Mathews The St George Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was the setting Thursday morning. July 19. for the marriage mar-riage of Miss Aurella Jones and Leland Paul Mathews. Temple President Harold, S. Snow prg-nouned prg-nouned the solemn rites before a small group of friends and relatives. rel-atives. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Jones of Enoch. The bridegroom is a sonof Mr. and Mrs- Benjamin Lynn Mathews Math-ews of Antimony. Thursday evening at the Enoch Ward recreation hall the new-lyweds new-lyweds were honored at a reception recep-tion given by the parents of the bride. For the nuptial occasion occa-sion the bride wore a bridal gown of imported lace over satin sa-tin with long sleeves. Her veil of imported French net was of fingertip length and cascaded from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Assisting the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. El-don El-don Webster. Bridesmaids wore Jane Mackelprang of Cedar City and Shlrleen Tobler of Washington, Washing-ton, Utah. Standing as best man was a brother of the bridegroom, Stanford Stan-ford Mathews. Flowers girls were young nieces of the bridegroom. Diane Hulet and Pamela Cowley. At the guest book was Mrs. Carlyle Hulet, a twin sister of the bridegroom, bride-groom, and Mrs. Royce Chamberlain Chamber-lain and Mrs. Olene Hatch were in the gift room. Serving were Mrs. Helen Jones, Karen Matheson. Diane Chamberlain Cham-berlain Avey Matheson and Audrey Au-drey Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. El win Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Chamberlain and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Matheson assisted in the kitchen. The bride Is a graduate of the Cedar City High School and received re-ceived her degree In elementary elemen-tary education from the Brigham Young University In Provo. Lat year she taught In the elementary elemen-tary school at Granger, Utah. The bridegroom Is a graduate of the College of Southern Utah In Cedar City and has served a tour of duty with the United States Army including an overseas over-seas assignment at Mainz, Germany. Ger-many. The couple are honeymooning in Southern California and will return to Logan on Aug. 1 where they will make their home. Mr. Mathews will continue his studies stud-ies at the Utah State Agrlcultur al College In Logan where he Is majoring in agriculture administration. |
