Show Wedding at Institute Unites Young Couple The Cedar L D S Institute was the scene of a delightful candle light ceremony Saturday evening, even-ing, November 27, uniting in marriage Miss Colleen Rae Cowan and Lowell Sherratt. Jr., popular local couple. The double dou-ble ring ceremony was performed perform-ed by Bishop Leo Larson in the presence of members of the immediate im-mediate families and close friends. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gibson S. Cowan and the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. 1 Lowell Sherratt. Both graduated from the Cedar City high school and attended the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural college during the past year. The bride was given in marriage mar-riage by her father, while the groom's younger brother, Jerry Sherratt, stood with him as best man. Attending the bride were Mrs. Udell Decker, matron of honor, and Miss Ileen Cowan, Miss Ruth Marie Hunter, Mrs. Dono Webster and Mrs. Stanley DeMille, bride's maids. Music at the ceremony was by Reed Berrett and Miss Audrey Dotson. Following the ceremony the young couple were honored at a reception In the Third ward Relief Society rooms. Receiving were Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Cowan, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Sherratt, Sr., ! Mrs. Evelyn Sherratt, grandmoth-er grandmoth-er of the groom, and the bridal party. I In charge of the serving room was Mrs. Dee G. Cowan, and! pouring were Mrs. Max Cowan and Miss Theone Sherratt, with the Misses Emma Lou Warren and Lois Miles serving. In charge of the gift room and registration were the Miss Beverly Bev-erly and Shlrleen Sherratt, Lois Gardner, LaRee Sargent, Mrs. Ruth McEwon, and Mrs. Alma Slack. Miss Emma Lou Warren sang several solos at the reception, recep-tion, accompanied by Miss Audrey Aud-rey Dotson. |
