Show Funeral Services Set Thursday For Former Resident Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Cedar City Third Ward Chapel Cha-pel for Ruth Gottfred Urie, 72. former Cedar City resident who died Saturday in a Bountiful hospital of causes Incident to age. Mrs. Urie is a former teacher at Salina and Charleston and resided at Cedar City for 30 years prior to moving to Bountiful. Born Jan. 13, 1890, she was a daughter of Hans James and Catherine Martin Gottfredson. On Feb. 20, 1918, she was married mar-ried to John Milton Urie in the Mantl LDS Temple. Mr. Urie died May 10, 1939. During her lifetime she was active in affairs of the church as a relief society teacher in Cedar Ce-dar City and In Salt Lake City East 12th Ward. Survivors include four sons, Hurschell G., Ogden John M., La Puente, Calif.; Thomas Eugene, Eu-gene, Landcaster, Calif.; and LaVon, Bountiful; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby McDonald, Duchesne, and Mrs. Ray (Helen) Tozer, An-ahiem, An-ahiem, Calif.; and 16 grandchildren. grandchild-ren. Burial will be in the Cedar City cemetary. |
