Show Former Resident Dies In California; Funeral Services Held Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bryant and Mr. and Mrs. Charles O. Smith were called to Rosemeade, Calif, the first of the week by the death of their father, Clarence Smith, 71. Mr. Smith was a native of Summit and a resident of Parowan Paro-wan for several years. Mr. Smith died of a heart attack at-tack Just after leaving home for his work last Friday morning, May 2. Funeral services were held for him Tuesday In the Rosemeade Ward chapel of which he was custodian, and he was burled In the Thomas A. Edison Memorial Park at Burbank, Cal. He was born In Summit In August 1883, a son of William! and Barbara Hulet Smith. He is survived by his widow, Est el la1 Smith, Rosemeade; a son and daughter, Charles O. Smith and Mrs. Ellis Bryant, Parowan;' Three brothers, Lorin and Delbert Smith, Parowan, and Harold Smith, Summit; two sisters, Kat-j ie Jones, Enterprise, and Luella Adair, Pioche, Nev.; 10 grandchildren grand-children and four great-grandchildren. |
