Show Hold Service For John Thom,as Beatty Funeral services wereTield in To-quervllle To-quervllle on October 28th for John T. Beatty, 77, father of Rudger F. Beatty and Mrs. Bessie Fish of Cedar Ce-dar City. John Thomas Beatty was born May 25, 1869, at Toquerville, Utah, a son of John and Mary Ann Duf-fln Duf-fln Beatty. His parents were English Eng-lish Immigrants who had come to Toquerville in 1862. During the years that the Silver Reef mine was open, Mr. Beatty was employed there and drove a team to California Califor-nia hauling ore. He taught In the schools of the county for six years. On January 24, 1887, he married Helena Lamb and to them were born six children. She died on May 8. 1906. i After her death, he married Eva Slack on Feb. 1, 1910, and they were the parents of 12 children, 1C of whom survive with Mrs. Beatty. His children are: Walter, Reed S., i Dennis and Lewis of Toquerville; Rudger F. and Mrs. Bessie Fish of Cedar City; Mrs. Zella Larkson of LaVerkin; Mrs. Ethelga Willet of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Rulon o Long Beach, Calif.; Quentln anc Miss Kathleen of Phoenix, Ariz.: Mrs. Marie Terry, Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs Evadeen Robinson of Fillmore; Mrs Hilma Bateman of Bloomington, Idaho; Id-aho; and Mrs. Irene Hlnton of Hurricane. He also has 36 grandchildren grand-children and 12 great-grandchildren. He is survived by the following follow-ing brothers and sisters: Mathe Beatty of Kanarra; Achle E. Beatty Beat-ty Pintua; George Q. and A. Es-bert Es-bert of Toquerville; Mrs. Minnie Gcr-V?r of Pahgultch and Mrs. A-lice A-lice Brueen of Salt Lake City. |
