Show , y Beware of the Grip. The health department of the city of Washing ton has giA-en out some suggestions for the care of health during the month of March, the most formidable month with which the health of the community com-munity has to cope. These have especial reference to the grip, AA'hich is generally particularly prevalent preva-lent during this month. The suggestions given are as applicable to this intermountain climate as to that of Washington. Following are the suggestions sugges-tions : ... . 1. Keep. away -from alcoholic drinks. 2. Bathe- frequently in tepid or cold water. 3. Sleep at least seven hours every night. 4. Do not make the mistake of thinking that the only AA ay of catching the grip is- by germs. iVMake everybody destroy infected clothing. C. Keep your AA'raps and overshoes with you. 7- Don't overeat. , Inasmuch as none of the suggestions given Avould, if folloAA-ed, injure a healthy person, there can be no possible damage incurred from adopting one or all as precautionary measures. Pneumonia, grip and kindred diseases are mueh more easily prevented than cured. Many persons are afflicted unnecessarily, through ignorance or carelessness. And there can be little question that the suggestions here giA-en, if religiously observed, would not only render one immune from the disease in question, but many others as well. |
