Show GEMS OF WISDOM. A man may know much and yet be nothing.. Humility ever dwells with men of noble minds. We lose our griefs by making others cease to grieve. 1 No guilty man id ever acquitted; he lives self-condemned. v Want of care does us more damage than want of knowledge. - Silence is the safest response for all the contradiction that arises from impertinence, im-pertinence, vulgarity or envy. How few there are who have courage enough to own their faults, or resolution resolu-tion enough to mend them. Would you live with ease, do what you ought, and not what you please. fr Without justice, courage is weak. To excel others is a proof of talent; but to know when to conceal that superiority su-periority is a greater proof of prudence. There is sometimes a period of waiting wait-ing and perplexity before prosperity, like the dense darkness that precedes j the dawn. |
