I Ladies' night at the Young Men's I Catholic club is becoming exceedingly ! popular with the club members and their invited guests. Some very- pleas-ins pleas-ins programmes have be?n presented in the past, and on. Tuesday evening, -March 2., the committee on entertainment entertain-ment surprised their friends by de-Parting de-Parting from the usual ordfr and pre- euung a one-act farce entitled "Public U a rriors." The leading part was taken by Harry -,eiI, and the applause he received was evidence of the manner in which he sustained the part. Deputy County Attorney John T. Casey played the lawyer. As he is an attorney and is well acquainted with the idiosyncracies of the profession he made this character charac-ter a decided success. The editors wife was assumed by Miss Jennie McMillan, Mc-Millan, who did a neat piece of dramatic dra-matic work. TV. J. Walsh was the editor, edi-tor, and YV. H. Mahoney, the physician of the play, administered remedies to all who were in need of the services of a doctor. Maggie Hughes, a maiden, was a ver Pretty love-lorn maiden indeed. K. T. Flannagan, a cashier, completed the cast. The play was well staged and all the respective parts sustained with credit. |
