Show Obituary. After listening to a concert by the Gargiulo band at the Auditorium last Sunday afternoon, Casper J. Schaefer died suddenly. His demise was due to heart failure. Mr. Schaefer had lived in Denver a very short time. In Boston, Bos-ton, where he made his home for years, he was instrumental in erecting the St. AlphonsuK association building. He had an ambition to perform a similar service for the Catholic young men of Denver, but died before the fruition of his plans. The body was taken to Boston Bos-ton for interment. A brother. Frank Schaefer. resides in Denver, and is connected with the Denver Gas '& Electric Elec-tric conipany. The funeral of Miss Mary F. Healy took place on Tuesday morning from Logan avenue chapel. Requiem mass ; was attended by a goodly number of friends. Miss Healy died at Mercy hospital hos-pital last week. nC & The funeral of Mrs. Barbara Hagen-buchle Hagen-buchle of 2743 Curtis street was held from Sacred Heart church on Larimer and Twenty-eighth streets on Thursday. Mrs. Ha-genbuckle Ha-genbuckle was the wife of August Ha-genbuckle, Ha-genbuckle, and her death occurred on Monday, Oct. 12. ' John Devlin, who died at his home, S27 Lipan street, on Tuesday. Oct. 6. was buried on Monday, Oct. 12. from St. Joseph's church, where requiem mass was said for the repose of his soul. Mr. Devlin was 65 years. of age, and had been a resident of St. Joseph's parish "Vr a long time. A sudden and tragic death overtook Adolph Schirdewan, the 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Schirdewan, Schirde-wan, Saturday afternoon, Oct. 10. The little boy with a number of companions was indulging in the dangerous sport of hopping on and off a moving freight train, when a sudden lurch threw him under the cars and the wheels passed over him, completely severing both legs. Death relieved him from his sufferings suf-ferings a few hours later. The accident acci-dent occurred at Center and Bannocks streets, not far from the family homo at 1548 Osage street. The funeral took place on Tuesday from St. Elizabeth's church, and was largely attended. Six little playmates of the boy acted as pall-bearers Interment was in Mount Calvary cemetery. The Schirdewan family is one of the prominent German families of Denver. Arthur Selwyn Wimbush died at St. Joseph's hospital of typhoid fever or. Tuesday morning, Oct. 6. Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Wimbush of 4851 Perry street. His funeral took place on Thursday from Holy Family church in Berkeley, Rev. Father Pantanelli, S. J., of Sacred Heart college offering requiem mass. An impressive sermon touching on the virtuous life of the dead boy was preached by Rev. Father Driscoll, S. J. Interment was in Mount Olivet cemetery. cem-etery. Arthur Wimbush was 23 years of age, and his death was peculiarly sad, as his mother was to have witnessed wit-nessed his marriage to a beautiful and accomplished young woman of Holy Family parish. Mrs. Catherine Brant died on Tuesday, Tues-day, Oct. 6, at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Caroline McGaughan. She was 72 years of age, and had been ill for a long time. The funeral occurred Thursday afternoon from St. Elizabeth's Eliza-beth's church. Burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery. Ladies of the G. A. R. escorted the body to its last resting |
