Show . o ; POLISH PRIEST DEAD. Father Joseph Dombrowski, founder and rector of St. Mary's Polish seminary, sem-inary, Detroit, died on Sunday, aged 62. He was born in Russian Poland, and fought for the Polish cause in 1863. After the defeat of the Poles he was forced to flee the country and went to Rome, where he studied for the priesthood, and was ordained. In 1870 he came to the United States, locating lo-cating near Green Bay, Wis. Later he went to Detroit, where he founded St. Mary's seminary for the education of Polish priests. |
