Miss Berge of the Cathedral Choir was one of the fair graduates from the High School last- Friday evening. Miss Anna Sullivan, recently of the St. Patrick's choir of Butte, has come to the city to reside, and has joined the Cathedral Choir. . Miss May Galbraithe. a leading soprano so-prano of the largest Catholic church in Leavenworth, has also joined the choir. Both charming young ladies are receiving a cordial welcome from the raeml evj .if the choir. - - Rev. Father Sheehan, of Austin, Nev., is visiting in the city, and is at the residence of Rt. Rev. Bishop Scan-Ian. Scan-Ian. 0 High mass wil be discontinued at the end of June. The parents are requested to send their children to the choir practice that is held every Saturday afternoon at 3:15 at the residence of Rt. Rev. Bishop Bish-op Scanlan. .it . o There were thirty children from the Kearns' St. Ann's Orphanage in the first communion and confirmation class last Sunday. The little people were made happy by being entertained enter-tained at breakfast by Rt. Rev. Bishop at his home, and as stated in one of the daily papers, "there was not a better breakfast served in Salt Lake." Two haDdsome monuments were placed in Mount Calvary recently, one by James Ivers in memory of his little son and the other by Bernard Sprenger in memory of his wife. |
