The bullion output of the smelters and the total shipments from the State showed a decided increase over the previous week, and the ore transactions also reached higher figures. The ore supply is sufficient for the needs of the smelters, there even being an over supply of some classes. Low-grad-e sulphide ores are in such plentiful supply that there haa been a slight advance in the treatment charges. Upon one recent shipment of this character, which had been treated at $12, the charge was $16. The Hanauer smelter has temporarily closed down, to permit general repairs. The new roasting furnaces will be in operation by September 1st. The base bullion output of the smelters for the week was $91,547, divided as follows: Pennsylvania, $31,272; Hanauer, $27,475; Germania, $32,SOO. There were also shipped cyanides to the value of $17,400; Ontario silver, $14,132, and miscellaneous shipments, $2000, making a total bullion output of $125,079, against $105,084 the previous week.
