He reminded them that in the Year of the Community College of the Air Force (2011) Hill AFB students used a record breaking $3.1 million in Military Tuition Assistance and had the most CCAF graduates (290) in the base's history. Perkins said that this year the base is on track to break those numbers during the Year of Continuing Education (2012). The USO's longest running, free traveling tour based on Sesame Street is rolling onto U.S. military establishments across the country in Elmo's new tricked out bus. Special shows will be July 13, at 6 p.m. and July 14 at 3 p.m. The show is exclusively for active duty military ID holders and their guests and is closed to the general public. The presentation will include special giveaways and outreach materials to military children. Since the tour's inception four years ago, more than 248,000 troops and military families have seen a version of the USO Sesame Street experience in 433 shows. The tour emphasizes the importance of adjusting to change and the power of friendship to help military children know they are not alone as they deal with relocations.
