Show Friday, April 30, 1948 HILL Second St. Wins Bowling Tourney By Hugh Stewart Utah General Depot edged out Hill Air Force Base by a scant Inter-Militaeight pins at the ournament staged the bowling t evening of 16 April. Hostilities took place at the Paramount Bowl with each installation entering five teams composed of one military and four civilian squads. The winners scored a grand total of 14,262 pins while, the Hilltoppers finished with a total of 14,254. A letter to the Chief of Staff, USAF, from Major General Clements McMullen, deputy commander of the SAC, said that "during . . . recent expansion in accordance with the 55 group program, a most unusual load was placed upon the AMC Depots which serve the several bases of the SAC. In every instance the SAC bases and units received superior cooperation and service from the AMC Depots. It is desired to commend that Command for the Superior service which they rendered." In forwarding the commendation, General Joseph T.
