Both men and women indicated their enthusiasm for the water sport by showing up in large num Field Girls Play Arsenal Tonight New Inter-Dep- ot Softball League Is Formed Both Hill Field and Arsenal have entered two girls' teams in an In ter Depot Softball league. Tne Utah Army Service Forces depot, formerly the Quartermaster depot, has been invited to enter two teams in the league, but at present, no final decision has been reached. Should ASF enter, a fast girl's team will be formed. The first league encounters take place this evening beginning at 6 p.m. sharp at Monroe park. The Hill Field girls will take the diamond against the more experienced Arsenal team in the opening game of the evening.. The second game will get under way, at 7:15 p.m., and the contestants for the encounter will depend upon the final decision reached by the ASF depot If ASF decides against entering teams, the second game will see plenty of action between the teams from Hill Field and six-tea-m Arsenal. Two strong teams were organized and showing promise of two nice ball clubs, until the change of shift force a few of the stronger players out of the lineups.
