Show m I ES Hill AFB, Utah 84056-5824 New SARC office The SARC office has moved from its current home in Building 118 to a new permanent office in Suite 25B of the Airman and Family Readiness Center (Building 150). The office is across the hall from the Employee Assistance Program office. The office also has a side entrance located on the west side of the building facing the BX. SARC can be reached 24/7 by calling (801) 777-1985 or (801) 777-1964. Base changes custodial services Building custodial services on Hill Air Force Base, also known as Janitorial services, will change effective April 1 for all facilities except those within: the 309th Maintenance Wing, Defense Logistics Agency, U.S. Army facilities, Army and Air Force Exchange facilities, Defense Commissary, Base Fitness Center and Child Development Center. Due to budget reductions, custodial or janitorial services will be reduced to one-time cleaning per week in all restrooms to include stocking paper products. All other former services, such as sweeping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, water fountain cleaning, mopping, buffing and floor waxing, have been eliminated. Additional building cleanliness will become the responsibility of the facility occupants. If you have questions, please contact your facility manager or the Civil Engineer Customer Service Desk at (801) 777-1856. A&FRC reduces services Wednesdays The Airman and Family Readiness Center will be conducting training and administrative processing every Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Building 150 will remain open with reduced services/assistance available. Col. Scott J. Zobrist will relinquish command of the 388th FW to Col. Scott C. Long. The 388th FW commander is responsible for maintaining the unit's combat readiness to deploy, employ and sustain F-16s worldwide to fight and win any conflict. The wing consists of seven squadrons that maintain and operate 48 primary assigned F-16s, as well as the 388th Range Squadron that is responsible for operations on the Utah Test and Training Range. In five decades of service, more than 75,000 pilots have flown in a T-38 while earning their wings. 309th MXW begins T-38 work at Randolph AFB BY BILL ORNDORFF 309th Maintenance Wing See LONG I page 6 W ith the cut of a ribbon March 24, the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group from Hill Air Force Base formally assumed depotlevel maintenance work on the T-38 Talon aircraft located at Randolph AFB, Texas. A satellite unit from Hill's 571st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron will perform the work at Randolph as part of a 2009 Department of Defense Depot Source of Repair decision. The decision awarded the work to Hill, and determined that the workload could be done more efficiently by DoD employees at Randolph. "Setting up this workload has been a real team effort across all of Randolph and Hill Air Force Base. The base will hold its second annual Families with Special Needs Summit at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 20 at Club Hill.
