Harbold Recently there have been some complaints made by our customers on the quality of our work here at Hill Air Force Base. These comone specific plaints have been of a nature that involve all of us, not just ' activity. There are always many reasons for such complaints, some good, some not so good. Some complaints may be the. result of honest mistakes due to the human capacity to err. In any event, there are no good excuses for mistakes. The pressure upon the tactical units and bases we serve, to get their lob done, can be expected to make them more critical of our support. Internal pressures within our own organization will make each activity more critical of another; Maintenance under the pressure of increased work projects will be more critical of Supply action; Supply under increased pressure will in turn be more critical of Statistical Control and of Maintenance requests. This is a natural reaction, but we must not let it become the dominating one. What we should all do, and roust do, is to work out these problems together. It is a cooperative effort that takes understanding of the other man's difficulties and a realization that by helping him you usually help yourself. The quality of our work cannot and must not suffer. At the same time we have to figure out ways and means to do good work -- faster. This is everybody's job, my job and your job. Let's get going!
