Night Marshal Leute this week received a rather abusive annony mous letter which he believes was written by one of the petty thieves working in this vicinity of late. The letter makes sport of Mr. Leute'a efforts to watch public property at night. The person who wrote the letter would do well to mend his ways his nocturnal and discontinue prowling because sooner or later he will meet up with Marshal Leute and most likely to his detriment.. Leute, be it known, still is rated as one of the best rifle and revolver shots in the country. He just don't miss. Further information which may interest the writer of that letter is that a clever detective agency can in a comparatively short time locate the typewriter on which the letter was written. It then merely becomes a matter of learning who has access to the machine and doing a little quiet looking around. June 19, 1933 lar-cen- SALT LAKE CITY'S NEWEST HOSTELRY THIRTY YEARS A COMPANY A.' The Utah Rock Asphalt company mines at Sunnyside now are operating at capacity production of 240 tons per day of eight hours, according to Henry H. Jones of Helper, in charge of production. This amount could, of course, be doubled or trebled by the addition of extra shifts of men. Because cf soft roads some difficulty has been experienced in crusher moving the monster from the former site at Sunnyside up to the quarries, but it now is properly installed and working, and several cars of asphalt each day are being shipped for use on the highway in Price canyon. The quarries at Sunnyside contain the largest known deposit of rock asphalt in the world, estimated as in excess of 800 million tons. The celebration began at 6 o'clock in the evening at which time the Helper, Harding, Wellington, Notre Dame and Huntington bands gave concerts and parade exhibitions.
