O. Silvagnl of that city has filed suit for the return of $504 which he claims was paid in unlawful taxes, Interest on the money, and costs of the action. The complaint, which will be in the nature of a test suit, alleges that certain property owned by Mr. Silvasni in Price had, prior to the summer of 1931, an assessed valuation of $22,000, with an additional valuation of IG500 for improvements. During the summer of 1931, a revaluation committee appointed by County Assessor Silas Rowley increased the valuation of the property to $32,000, failing to make allowances for depreciation on the buildings which were built 20 years ago. The increased valuation of $10,000, when assessed at the city and county rate of 50.4 mills, Increased the taxes an even $504 which the plaintiff alleges Is unjust.
