Show jShirley Baxter Buried at Manti Shirley Baxter, the 6-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Baxter of this city, but who had been residing with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Anderson, at Manti for some seven months, passed peacefully peace-fully away at 8 o'clock Friday morning morn-ing at the Anderson home. Shirley, though stricken with heart trouble several months ago, was sent to. the home of her grandparents in the hopes that her condition would change for the better, as she was extremely ex-tremely nervous. During her illness she was Content with her surroundings, surround-ings, the quiet of the home seemed to help her, and she faced life bravely and happily though suffering from an extreme dangerous disease. Shirley was born in Gunnison and had resided here until she was taken to Manti to reside temporarily with her grandparents. She is survived by her parents, Gordon and Reva Anderson Ander-son Baxter, a brother, Donny, and a sister, Ruth Baxter. The four grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Baxter of Gunnison and Mr. and Mrs. Anderson An-derson of Manti, also survive. Impressive funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Anderson home in Manti. Bishop Henrie of Manti was in charge. A beautiful and appropriate musical program, with a profusion of floral offerings, deeply impressed those attending the last rites for Shirley. Shir-ley. Several talks were given, among , which was one by Chas. Rasmussen of this city. Mr. and Mrsi Baxter have many warm friends here who attended attend-ed the final services. Burial was in the Manti cemetery, where the remains of the little girl were tenderly laid to their final resting rest-ing place. |
