Show Indian Murderer Executed. Reno, Nev. Calmly smoking a cigarette cig-arette and with the stoicism proverbial prover-bial of his race, George Williams, the Indian murderer of Barney Griffen and James Connors, two prospectors, at Sffmler, Nev., in 1907. was on Friday morning hanged at the state prison at Carson. There was no hitch in the execution, and the Indian was pronounced pro-nounced dead in fourteen minutes after aft-er taking the fatal drop. Williams acknowledged that he was the murderer mur-derer of the prospectors and expressed sorrow for the act. i |
