Show Dove on Gun of Death Ship. While the Montana was teaming slowly northward through the fog a white dove, the omen of peace, blown apparently from the Virginia shore, alighted on a ten-inch gun on the deck of the cruiser. More than 100 bluejackets blue-jackets on the Montana, their ternm having expired, are glad to be home. A little yellow swallow, blown to sea near Cuba, remained on one of the cruisers all the way to Vera Cruz and Is still on the deck of the warship.
