Miller of Los Angeles Is making a lecture of this countvv speai ing on social purity and character char-acter building, lie addressed a large gathering last night at Centerfield and will speak there again this Friday Fri-day night besides visiting the schools there and in this city. Saturday night at 7:30 he will give his lecture in Gunnison R. S. hall, and remain over to speak before the parents class Sunday morning. Saturday night Dr-Miller Dr-Miller will give a practical demonT stration on the study of children. The public is invited free. LOCAL ECHOES. if Miss Orilla Kearns left Sunday for a short visit to Salt Lake. Miss Lucile Tuttle, who has been visiting the past week her grandmother grandmo-ther at Logan returned Wednesday. The Social Circle club women met at the high school building and enjoyed en-joyed an illustrated talk by Miss Hale on stencil work and home decoration. The T. B. club were delightfully entertained Tuesday by Miss Minerva Mace. Those present were Misses Hale, Peterson, Bywater, Kearns and Cooper, and Mrs. Harold Christenson and Mrs. Alma M. Fredrickson. The club will meet next week with Miss Jessie Peterson. Mrs. F. W. McMillen entertained at a party in honor of her sister Maud's sixteenth birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. The evening was spent in a variety va-riety of games and a midnight lunch was served to sixteen guests. Mrs. Henry A. Kearns entertained at. her home yesterday 45 or more elderly guests. Refreshments were served, music dispensed and a general social time had relating past experiences experi-ences and recalling associations of early days. It was a good heart that prompted this act of kindness on the part of Mrs. Kearns and her guests afterwards separated with feelings of gladness and appreciation for the thoughtful honor shown them by the hostess.
