Show Centerfield Items. The election of town officers Tuesday Tues-day was a rather quiet affair, no opposition op-position ticket being up. Some annoyance an-noyance and delay occurred by a failure on the part of the clerk to deliver de-liver official ballots on time. The ballots were at the depot and it was not untit two hours after time to open the polls that they were in possesion posses-ion of the judges. The ticket elected is: President, Lars C. N. .Myrup; Trustees, W. D. Childs, George Pet-erBon, Pet-erBon, Soren P. Jensen, Alfred Fjeld-sted. Fjeld-sted. A total of fifty votes were cast, five being spoiled in rq attempt to scratch. Carl Nialaon was given a rousing farewell parly at Axtell Wednesday night and a good purse of money to help him in the missionary work he is soon to enter, A patent medicine company is holding forth here every night but Friday this week giving a creditable free entertainment in couneotion with dispensing goods tor sale. A 12-year-old boy of Soren Ander son received an injury to his shoulder should-er Thursday evening this week from bemg thrown off a horse. The assistance as-sistance of Dr. Hagan was required to set the injured part. Mrs. C, H. Fmbley and Mrs. Thomas Nielson will , be Ephraim visitors this week end. |
