Show JUDGE BURRIS. Not many people knew how kind was the soul of Judge Columbus W. Burris, who died in this city last week. He was a thorough lawyer, ho held with great honor a distinguished judicial position po-sition In a neighboring state. He practiced law in this city several years, and had his aggressiveness aggressive-ness been equal to his ability, his would have been a distinguished career. His was one of those rare natures that held his life as a trust to bo rated by the good he could do for his fellow men, and when the accounting is completed, his soul will stand close beside that of Abou Ben Adhera, for he was a Christian, "the highest style of man," one of "God Almighty's gentlemen." |
