An ordinance levying a tax for the assesment of the property on the east side of Post Street between Fourth South and Fifth South Streets, In Sidewalk District No. 21, for the construction of a cement sidewalk. Be it ordained by the City Council Coun-cil of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide pro-vide for the assesment of the same upon the property hereinafter described de-scribed in Lots 2 to 29, inclusive, Block 10, City Park Subdivision of Block 28, Plat "C," Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on the east side of Post Street between Fourth South and Fifth South Streets, in Sidewalk Side-walk District No. 21, said property having a frontage of 712 feet along said street. This tax is levied to defray the oxponse of constructing a cement sidewlak four feet wide and four (4) Inches thltK upon said portion of said street opposite the property hereinafter described to be especially especial-ly affected and benefited by said improvement, im-provement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon ana to a uepin or twenty-nve (25) feet back therefrom, ' and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is four hundred ninety-eight and 40-100 ($498.40) dollare, or 70-100 ($0.70) dollars dol-lars per front or linear foot, which Is the estimated total cost and estimated estima-ted cost per linear foot of said sidewalk, side-walk, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned, all of Lots 2 to 29, inclusive, inclu-sive, Block 10, City Park Subdivision of Block 28, Plat "C," Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax. Section 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six equal Installments, Install-ments, as follows, to-wlt: One-sixth thereof shall become and be delinquent delin-quent one month after the approval of this ordinance; one-sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-eixth one-eixth thereof In two years after such approval; one-Eixih thereof in three years after such approval; one-sixth thereof In four years after such approval; ap-proval; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such approval. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, shall draw interest in-terest at the rate of six per cent annum an-num from date of levy until delinquent, delin-quent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its date of delinquency.
