Diohl of the k Wn Afammoth Record ; treasurer, I' V: f.B.DresHorf Millard Chronicle After tho business meeting, R, Y the Commercial-Boosters Club m and a number of prominent W -citizens "punched" tho editors' E mugs and gave them a rous-M rous-M ing reception. A pleasing pro-Wk pro-Wk gram of music, readings, etc., Bf ' was carried out. During the evening the Cordon Jewelry Co. presented each of the visitors a handsome souvenir of Logan. Ras Rasmussen of the Fruit Growers Assn. furnished an abundance of choice apples and the Royal Confectionery and Murdoek Candy Co. contributed contri-buted largo boxes of excellent candy. Tuesday at 9 a. m. the Press Club was taken to the Agricultural Agricul-tural College of Utah via the streot car and were met and welcomed to that great institution institu-tion by Prof. J. A. Widstoe and others. Under the direction of guides tho aggregation was shown through the college froin basement to attic and the tour through tho college was an "eye opener" to many of them. It is certainly one of tho best equipped aud perfectly man-managed man-managed institutions of learning learn-ing in the state. A meeting of the association was held at the college where excellent addresses ad-dresses on important topics were made by Prest. J. A. iWidstoe, 11. C. Uicks, Chas. England, J HJanney, J HPaul and Dr Kingsbury. The College department of music furnished a number of choice musical selections and Oscar Kirkham again rendered some of his pleasing selections. At this meeting the resolution in oppo sition to creating a railroad commission, introduced by Editor Edi-tor Felt, was voted down aud other minor resolutions mot the same fate. The association in a body then went to tho Women's Wo-men's Dormitory where the Domestic Do-mestic Science Department gave these hungry editors a feast that you read about. Prof. E. D. Ball was the toastmaster and in witty speeches introduced introduc-ed the speakers. Addresses woro made by Gov. Wra. Spry, Prest. Honry Gardner of the State Senate, Senator W. N. Williams ofSaltLake and others. The visitors took their departure from Logan at 4:15 p. m., and after a 2-hour wait at Cache Jnnction, continued their journey homeward singing the praises of Logan and hor bless- ed people. In conclusion wo desire to say that Logan is a genuine good town and if not tho second city of tho state, it don't lack much of being such.
