Berlin. Demonstrations by Socialists Social-ists throughout the kingdom after mass meetings held on Sunday to protest pro-test against tho suffrage bill, resulted result-ed in serious affrays between the demonstrators dem-onstrators and tho police liv many places. In Berlin several policemen were severely wounded by stones thrown by rioters, atul scores of Socialist Soci-alist supporters received serious Injuries Injur-ies from sabers of the police. Reports from places outside of Berlin Ber-lin give u number of casualties. The worst affair occurred at Hewmunster, In Holsteln, where a worklngman was mortally wounded by a knife through the lungs; another's hand was cut off, while a third lost an ear. At Hallo, after the close of the mootlngs, 2,000 Socialists attacked tho police, who drew their Rubers and wounded many. At Koenlgsberg whore the Socialists returned in a body from surburban meetings, tho pollco in attempting at-tempting to divert the crowds into the side streets used their side arms.
