Show Stake Quarterly Conference. The quarterly conference of tho Box Elder Stuku was held in the stnko tabernacle taber-nacle at Brigham City Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8th and 0th. The conference con-ference waa largely attended uud much interest manifested. The tabernacle choir under the direction of Chorister S. N. Lee furnished excellcut slnglug. Among the visitors were Pres. Frauds M. Ly.mau and Apostles 0, W. Penrose and Reed Smoot. The various wards throughout the atitkc were quite well represented. SUNDAY MOIUtlRU The morning session was glveu over to the Stake Sunday Schools, Supt J D Peters in charge. August F Jcppson spoke on the subject sub-ject of "work," which was followed by an cxccrclso from tho Kindergarten Dopt of thu 1st ward. MltsEllleda Luud and Isaac Jeusou of tho 4th ward rendered ren-dered a very pleasing duet. A temperance) temper-ance) pleco was recited by George Balrd of the 8rd ward Sunday School. Apostle C W Penrose madu a few Interesting remarks re-marks to the Sunday School children. SUNDAY AKTKHMOON Pros Francis M. Lyman occupied the time at the afternoon session Sunday aud gave a very interesting address to the saints, The church aud stake authorities were presented and unauimously sustained. In the evening conjoint sesslou of the MIA was held at the tabernacle. |
